4B+ STANDARD HORIZONTAL MAILBOXES - FRONT LOADING - U.S.P.S. ACCESS
Salsbury 4B+ standard horizontal 3600 series mailboxes have been approved to the required security upgrades of USPS-STD-4B+ and are ideal for apartments, condominiums, commercial buildings and many other applications. A front loading door panel swings on a continuous hinge. One mailbox opening is required for a master postal lock and cannot be used for mail distribution. Units include factory installed 3/4” W x 1/4” D trim and a solid rear cover. Custom engraved placards (related item #3667) are available as an option upon request. 4B+ STANDARD HORIZONTAL MAILBOXES - FRONT LOADING – PRIVATE ACCESS Salsbury 4B+ standard horizontal 3600 series mailboxes are ideal for colleges and schools, corporate mailrooms, government agencies and many other applications. A front loading door panel swings on a continuous hinge. One mailbox opening contains a master commercial lock and cannot be used for mail distribution. Units include factory installed 3/4” W x 1/4” D trim and a solid rear cover. Custom engraved placards (related item #3667) are available as an option upon request. USPS Approved for Replacement Use Salsbury Industries 4B+ vertical (3500 series) and 4B+ horizontal (3600 series) mailboxes have been U.S.P.S approved to the required security upgrades of USPS-STD-4B+. These mailboxes are approved for replacement and /or retrofit installations effective October 2006. For new construction or major remodels, 4C horizontal mailboxes (3700 series) are required. The demand for improved mailbox security prompted the United States Postal Service to develop this standard. The standard requires manufacturers to strengthen and improve the master door (arrow lock compartment) on vertical style apartment house mail receptacles (3500 series) and horizontal style apartment house mail receptacles (3600 series). |
