Why Imperial? A Brand Overview

History of Excellence

A trusted industry leader, Imperial Mailboxes has been manufacturing the finest cast aluminum mailboxes, street signs, and lamp posts since 1989. Imperial products have enhanced the most prominent residential communities and planned developments in America, beautifying landscapes and improving property values in grand style. Their extensive line of beautiful and dependable products meet the varied needs of discerning homeowners, developers and project architects alike, allowing one coordinated design to be chosen for all exterior accents.

Superior Craftsmanship

Imperial products are built to last and look great for years. Posts, Decorative Mailboxes, and components are expertly die cast using high-grade solid aluminum, providing strength, durability, and unsurpassed quality. The aluminum is then powder coated at high temperatures with industrial strength enamel paint and assembled to the highest standards with stainless steel hardware.

Large Variety of Preconfigured and Custom Mailbox Systems

Choose from an assortment of pre-configured mailbox systems, mailboxes, posts, address plaques, and accessories to customize your look to your exact specifications. Most pieces are interchangeable for full customization of your order. If you have any questions or concerns before placing an order, one of our Customer Care Representatives will be happy to assist you.

Manufacturer's Warranty

Imperial provides peace of mind with a limited one year warranty covering defects in construction and assembly. The warranty is valid to the original purchaser and does not cover improper installation, alterations, vandalism, etc. Imperial Mailbox Systems must be contacted within one year of the original delivery date. Please see the full Manufacturer's warranty for more details.

Construction & Materials

Cast Aluminum Construction

Each Imperial product is constructed of the highest-quality, solid cast aluminum and assembled using rust-free and worry-free stainless steel hardware. Aluminum is a strong, lightweight metal that is resistant to rust, corrosion, and environmental damage, making it the optimal choice for outdoor products. The process of sand-casting each mold helps to maintain a superior level of quality control.

Powder-Coated Finish

Following casting, each piece is powder coated at a high temperature using an industrial strength enamel paint to provide a smooth, beautiful, and extremely durable finish that will stand the test of time. Products are offered in a variety of classic colors, so be sure to browse our color options.

Stainless Steel Hardware

Stainless steel hardware and locking mechanisms round out the tough construction of the Imperial product line. Stainless steel offers the same rust and corrosion resistance similar to aluminum while contributing added strength where it is needed most. This yields a finished product that is durable, secure and built to last.

Assembly and Installation

Would you like to know what to expect from the assembly and installation process of your new Imperial Mailbox System? We have you covered. You can review assembly and installation instructions (link opens a .PDF) for all Imperial Products, or read our brief overview below.

Overview:

Completely assemble mailbox unit. Dig a hole approximately 16 inches deep using a shovel or post-hole digger and install mailbox post in concrete. Some temporary support may be necessary while concrete sets.

Installation steps:

  1. Attach the number plate to the top of the mailbox.
    1. If you have a newspaper holder, use 6-inch straps (not included) to keep your newspaper holder in place during assembly.
    2. The back of the mailbox and the back of the newspaper holder should be flush with each other.
  2. Attach scroll support (A) to the bottom of the mailbox.
  3. Place top two bolts in post and mailbox. Do not tighten.
  4. Lift front of the mailbox to place scroll support dowel pin into the post.
  5. Attach lower bolts and tighten all.
  6. Place assembled post into the hole, align the box with the curb line, and add concrete.
  7. If necessary, drive a stake into the ground 3 or 4 feet behind the post. Tie a string from the stake to the top of the mailbox post to keep it plumb while the concrete sets.

Regarding a Product's Shipping Estimate

Understanding Lead Times

The lead times listed on this product page represent the best-case scenario for shipping estimates. While we may show that a product "usually ships" within a given period, this period should not be confused with a delivery estimate. Rather, we expect the product to ship from the manufacturer's warehouse within this time-frame.

What does this mean for you? Once you place an order on our site, we begin processing the order with the manufacturer. The processing lead time we list on the product page is the most current estimate from the manufacturer regarding the product.

Below, we answer the top three FAQs our customers have regarding delivery estimates.

Clock

How long will it take to receive my commercial mailbox?

When you order a commercial or cluster mailbox, we process the order with the manufacturer within 1 business day. Once processed, the order usually ships in the time-frame listed on the product page. Since Cluster Mailboxes are large items, they ship via freight carriers. This means that the transit times for these will usually be 5 to 7 business days.

A few things to note about purchasing a cluster mailbox or similar large, commercial-grade product:

  • The freight carrier will call the number you list on the shipping address a day before delivery to schedule a delivery appointment with you.
  • The manufacturer ships using their chosen freight carrier depending on the products ordered and the delivery location.
  • The majority of online retailers who sell commercial mailboxes (CBUs, etc.) ship directly from the manufacturers, just as we do.
  • If you purchase a commercial mailbox from us and decide to cancel because a competitor lists a "faster" lead time on their site, you may be delaying the time it will take to receive your mailboxes. Why? Because you are placing a new order to be sent to the same manufacturer for processing.

What if I order multiple products from different brands?

If you ordered multiple products, it is possible that they are made by different manufacturers. If this is the case, your products will ship to you separately from each manufacturer.

For example, if you purchase a Mayne Post with a Whitehall Mailbox, your post will ship from Mayne's warehouse in about 3 business days, but your mailbox will ship separately from Whitehall in about 2 to 3 weeks if customized with address numbers.

How can I estimate my shipment's transit time?

Depending on the carrier and your location, transit times will vary. Delivery estimates are best projected using your carrier tracking number. Once your order ships, we'll send you a shipping confirmation email that includes your carrier (FedEx, UPS, YRC, etc.) and tracking number.

Note: If you place an order with us and do not receive an Order Confirmation email, check your spam inbox. If you still do not see an Order Confirmation email in your inbox, contact us right away at (866) 707-0008 . We will provide you with your Order Number and any other details you need.
