Solid Copper Mailboxes

The body is left un-lacquered and will, therefore, darken into a gorgeous patina over time. If you wish to retain a bright and shiny copper finish, a clear coat of urethane will do the trick. Applying the product Tarn-x with a soft cloth is recommended for cleaning and polishing purposes. With twenty-one different designs to choose from, you are sure to find something to fit your taste! Solid Brass Mailboxes
Brass is a copper-zinc alloy. Based on the ratio of copper to zinc in a batch, brass can have a wide range in color. The more copper it has, the more red-toned it will be. The more zinc it has, the more silver it will appear. This array of hues makes for a unique and gorgeous look to each solid brass mailbox. Brass is also resistant to corrosion, making it the perfect material to have as your mailbox for the next hundred years.

The inside is left raw, showcasing the original yellow-toned metal. Brass is designed to darken and dull over time, giving its array of red, brown, pink, yellow, green, and blue hues a beautiful and completely natural character. Brass has zero maintenance requirements. However, you may clean or polish it if you desire. For cleaning, use a soft sponge, warm water, and a soft cloth towel. For polishing, use non-wax furniture polish and a soft towel. Any abrasive materials will damage the finish. Streetscape offers the attractive Westchester post mounted brass mailbox with an optional solid brass flag. Their wall-mounted models include the Huntington and Manhattan styles. They also offer a mail slot and recessed mailboxes in the Executive , Gateway , and Courtyard designs which may be built into a column or wall. Each of these Streetscape mailbox models has the option to either add a locking insert or offers a comparable locking design. 
Salsbury mailboxes are made with solid antiqued brass. These beautiful wall-mounted mailboxes are sturdy and come in horizontal or vertical styles. For clean, simple lines, the Standard Surface style is a great option. For a little pizzazz, the Decorative Surface style features a window grid design with a removable privacy plate. Both standard and decorative surface styles have the option to add a locking security kit insert. Salsbury also makes a recessed copper-toned mailbox designed to be mounted in a wall or column.
